The Shuttle Forge comes attached to the side of your Shuttle. Molten Iron is for construction. You can build cranes, emplacements, drills and all sorts of tools on the surface.
The shuttle forge will automatically load cold raw Iron from the Shuttle's Storage. The GIF demonstrates iron getting loaded and the forge loading it in.
The forge has an orange circle indicator telling you how much molten iron it has waiting for you inside. When the circle is full (all orange) the forge is at capacity and cannot produce more molten iron until the Command Bot takes some out.
You can hold the R key to turn on the Info Overlay. This shows data over many objects, but in the case of the forge it will show how much Raw and Molten iron can be found inside the forge.
The Command Bot can only carry 60 Molten Iron. The number in the bottom left corner, above the inventory, is the amount of iron loaded into the Command Bot for you to dedicate to construction.
To construct a crane you must first be on higher ground! The cranes lift things up from below. Once you place the crane you can place the two transit points that determine which to surfaces the crane will connect.
You can hold "R" to trigger the Info Overlay that will show you the crane anchors in case you want to check where they are or if you want to ask a crane for a ride.
Medusa Mineral is located 1000 KKM deep into your claim. Once you have the fuel upgrade you can make 3 jumps (the last being to a station) so you can either catch a ride on some asteroids that will carry you deeper to make up for the missing distance or you can upgrade your navigational computer on the freighter to extend range to 350 KKM
Remember that you do not have to jump to an asteroid. You can just jump to empty space. With that navigational upgrade it becomes trivial. Just keep jumping right at max range and your last jump will reach Medusa.
Your Workerbots are loaded onto the shuttle as equipment. The top HUD display will tell you how many you brought on the expedition and how many of them are currently on the Shuttle.
Workerbots will automatically pickup and bring back any tagged resources. To tag a resource you can walk up to it and press "E" or you can hold "E" and a circle will scan and tag all resources around you
An icon will appear over tagged resources. The circle means the item is in the queue. A triangle means a Workerbot is on its way for this item and a red X means that the item cannot be reached and you will need to reposition it or make a path by cutting through rock or building cranes to allow Workerbots access.
Astronomics is currently a singleplayer game. Multiplayer is something we would love to add, but it is currently beyond our means. We are focused on completing and releasing the content planned in the Early Access Roadmap as well as exploring porting options to bring the game to new platforms once it has completed the Early Access stage.
You can find the Early Access Roadmap here.
